What does it mean to be 'stolen'? At the beginning of this unit (see Introduction) we looked at some questions in relation to the Stolen Generations. These questions were to do with what happened and why. What were and are the consequences of the Stolen Generations and how does this affect our lives? Now at the end of this unit it is time to answer these questions. You also need to reflect on reconciliation and on what you can do, as an individual, as part of a class and school, and as part of the community. You are to do this in your E-Journals (in Myclasses 'The Stolen Generations').

What are today's consequences of the Stolen Generations ? How does this affect you?
What does reconciliation mean to you?
How can you be part of this reconcilliation?
What are two things you have learned from this unit?
Lastly, in reflection of this unit, you are to express your response to what you have learned about the Stolen Generations and reconciliation. You may do so in the format of your choice e.g. written journal, painting, speech, sorry letter, etc. You are to hand this in by the end of next week and this item will be added to your Society and Environment portfolio.
